WRS Modifieds Attracting Young Talent

logo1a.jpgStafford Springs, CT — Change in Stafford’s WRS Modified division isn’t only in the air, it’s blowing like a hurricane. Stafford’s premier division is currently experiencing an influx of young and talented drivers with the ultimate goal of becoming the next Steve Park or Tony Stewart. These aspiring kids are turning to the open-wheel Modifieds as a means to bolster a career behind the wheel.

With four drivers in their teens and many more in their early twenties, WRS Modifieds are cultivating the future talent of racing’s big leagues. “WRS Modifieds will provide me with the necessary skills and regard needed to compete at higher levels,” answers 23 year old Rookie of the Year candidate Jamie Asklar. “These cars are the most logical step towards a Modified Tour career.”

LABATT USA Products to Join Forces with Stafford Teams in ‘97

logo1a.jpgStafford Springs, CT — America’s Specialty Beer Company, Labatt USA, has announced an association with car owners Ron Paul and Len Fletcher for the entire 1997 Stafford Motor Speedway season. Labatt USA will use its Labatt Blue and Rolling Rock brands to initiate an assault on the ’97 Late Model title. Paul, who recently collected his first Stafford Late Model championship, will team with upstart driver Mike Quintiliano and the Labatt Blue brand to defend the illustrious title.

“The team is very excited to have Labatt Blue on board,” exclaims car owner Ron Paul. “They are well represented in all types of racing and we look forward to successively representing them at Stafford.”
