Slated to take part in a competitor display at the Crystal Mall in Waterford are the teams of Bill Leonard, Wendell Dailey, Jason Palmer, and, Albert “Bo” Norman.
Leonard, a resident of Wood River Jct., RI., and a top competitor with the Allstar Race Truck Series will be vying for his third Waterford victory of the season when the trucks take to the track on Saturday afternoon in a 25-lap main event.
The popular Dailey, long a staple of the competition in Waterford’s SK Modified division will have his familiar #66 on display, giving grandstand patrons a rare opportunity to get up close & personal with the open-wheel machines that make-up the shoreline oval’s headlining weekly division. Qualifying on Saturday sets the stage for a 100-lap grind for the SK Modifieds on day-two of the Town Fair Tire Finale.
Jason Palmer, the recently-crowned 2007 champion of the “Wild N’ Wacky” Wednesday Legends series will have his car present. Palmer came out on-top in one of the closest point battles of the season, as the Legends division continued to entertain crowds in what has become one of the most popular mid-week shows in New England. The Legends feature will go 25-laps on Saturday.
The machine of Al “Bo” Norman, a competitor in the Mini Stock ranks will be on hand representing the Speedbowl’s popular 4-cylinder class. Sunday’s extra-distance event for the Mini Stocks will go 50-laps.
The Crystal Mall is located on Route 85 only minutes from the Speedbowl. As always, advance ticket sales for all Speedbowl events are available at the Mall.
