Adirondack Added to ALNRS Slate

Newburgh, NY — Adirondack Int. Speedway adds a 50 lap Allison Legacy North Race to their schedule of events for the NASCAR Camping World East Series weekend on July 26. Series Director Michael A. Vasquez, Sr. stated that after several rainouts and the cancellation of the July 27 Beachridge Speedway event the series was looking to add a race to their shortened schedule.

With the help of Adirondack Int. Speedway management the ALNRS was added to the NASCAR event. Vasquez stated this will be the series first ever race in upstate New York and what a better way to do it then to run with the NASCAR CWES. Vasquez also stated that the race may also be a blue grey shootout as several Southern Allison Legacy teams expressed interest in attending the event. The Allison Legacy North Race is scheduled to be run just before the CWES race. As of today Vasquez stated the race purse is $500.00 to win and that additional sponsors may added in the next several weeks. Check back for a complete run down of events for the ALNRS/NASCAR CWES event.

Harris Chasing NASCAR Points Throughout Iowa

Daytona Beach, FL — Brian Harris needed to make a decision: continue to chase points on a regional dirt-track circuit, or make a run at the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championship.

He had already missed the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season opener at West Liberty Raceway in Iowa. But his subsequent performance was good enough, even without that race, to  have him thinking about what they could accomplish if they devoted all their attention to one goal.

Rudolph Gears Up for Return to the Whelen Modified Tour

A major objective in 2008 for the DeLange Racing team and their talented teenage driver, Erick Rudolph of Ransomville, was to test themselves against the NASCAR Modified Tour teams. They began the season chasing that goal, with a trip to Caraway Speedway in North Carolina followed by a visit to Thompson Speedway in Connecticut. They followed that up with two trips to famed Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut, and scored their first Modified top-ten finish on May 23rd. After that race, they headed back home as the racing season was ready to open in Western New York.

They focused their racing at the speedway in Lancaster, under new management  and renamed Dunn Tire Raceway Park. On Opening Day in early May Rudolph drove the #45 Original Pizza Logs/PrimeTyme Motorsports/Brigham Concrete Modified to a solid third place finish. He embellished that with a victory in the #45 SST Sportsman, the first of three consecutive wins at DTRP in that car. On June 20 the DeLange team headed east to Spencer Speedway in Williamson and drove the #45 Original Pizza Logs/PrimeTyme Motorsports/Brigham Concrete SST to a dominant 75-lap feature victory.
