Smith Out To Prove Good Guys Sometimes Finish First

The old saying goes that nice guys always seem to finish last. That’s not exactly the case for NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver John Smith.

Smith (No. 25 Tutterow Surveying/Rick’s Home Repair Chevrolet) is easily one of the most respected figures in the Whelen Southern Modified Tour garage area – both on and off the track. The 33-year-old Mount Airy, N.C., native isn’t afraid to rub fenders with the best of the best if the situation arises, but Smith prefers to race his fellow competitors with respect.

Sprint Racing Experience Highlights Sunday’s SYLVANIA 300 “Chase” Kick-Off Party

Fans will have the opportunity to personally experience the thrill of NASCAR racing this Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s “Chase” Kick-Off Party.

Kicking off SYLVANIA 300 Week activities, the Sprint Racing Experience will be at the speedway to demonstrate the incredible speed and awesome power of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car.  Fans can get behind the wheel of this intense, full-motion simulator and feel what it is like to race against the likes of Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, and Kyle Busch.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Broadcast Dates Announced

New Hampshire, Martinsville Races To Be Aired By SPEED

Daytona Beach, FL — NASCAR and SPEED TV have announced the broadcast dates for upcoming NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Martinsville Speedway.

The New Hampshire 100, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, will be the second appearance for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at the Loudon, N.H., track in 2008. The race will be aired on a tape-delayed basis by SPEED on Sept. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
