Donald Theetge Becomes Eighth NHMS ACT Invitational Qualifier By Winning the Le AIM Quebec 150

Loudon, NH — Donald Theetge of Boischatel, Quebec took home the victory in the Le AIM Quebec 150 in front of a thrilled crowd at Autodrome Chaudiere. Theetge worked his way through traffic from the fifteenth starting position to take the lead on lap 55 from Patrick Hamel. Theetge then had to hold of Hamel, Karl Allard and Patrick Cliche in the later stages of the race.

Newcomer to the Series ACT Castrol this year Marc-Andre Cliche led during the early part of the 150 lap event. During a caution period on lap 31 he relinquished the lead when he had to pit. Dany Ouellet would inherit the lead but it was short lived as Justin Holtom took the lead two laps later. However, Holtom was penalized for using the bump and run to get by. Patrick Hamel would then take the lead for eighteen laps before Theetge took over for good.

Patrick Cliche would come home second followed by Allard, Jacques Poulin, and Stephane Descoste rounding out the top five. Claude Leclerc, Michael Lavoie, Patrick Hamel, Jean-Francois Dery, and Patrick Laperle rounded out the top ten.

With this win Theetge gets his 13th career win and moves into a tie with Sylvain Lacombe as the all-time win leaders on the Series ACT Castrol. It also strengthens his points lead, which was a mere 6 points over Patrick Laperle.

Theetge becomes the eighth qualifier for the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Theetge already has laps under his belt at NHMS as he was one of the competitors invited to the first test session this spring. The list of qualifiers for the ACT Invitational now includes Canadians Theetge, Jean-Francois Dery; Patrick Laperle and Americans Dave Pembroke; Joey Polewarczyk, Jr.; Scott Payea; Eric Williams and Brad Leighton.

With Theetge’s win it now makes three different winners in the first three events for the Series ACT Castrol. Including the American based ACT Tour that now makes eight different winners in eight events under the ACT sanction.

The Series ACT Castrol will make their only visit to the province of Ontario on Sunday, June 13 when they travel to Capital City Speedway in Ottawa, Ontario. The ACT Tour will also be in action on June 13 as they visit Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Conn.
