Ted Christopher & Keith Rocco Penalized After September 18 Stafford SK Modified Feature

Stafford Motor Speedway issued penalties to points leader Ted Christopher and last Friday’s feature winner Keith Rocco on Tuesday. Christopher was penalized for hitting Rocco after the checkered flag. Christopher was given a 1 race suspension, fined $100, docked 10 points and placed on probation for the rest of the season. Rocco, the driver fifth-place in points, was penalized for “overagressive driving with intent into the 13.” He was given a 1 race suspension and put on probation for the rest of the season.

Entering Friday’s race, Ted Christopher leads Frank Ruocco by 86 points. The maximum points that a driver can earn is 50 points for a victory, giving Ruocco a chance to gain a lot of ground on Christopher. However, with only two races remaining, Christopher would still maintain at least a 36 point margin over Ruocco entering the Fall Final. A finish of 17th or better would earn Christopher the SK Modified title.
