Modified Racing Series Winter Meeting at New Racers Expo

Canaan, NH — Modified Racing Series founder Jack Bateman has announced his series will participate at The Racers Expo, a two-day event created to exhibit the latest safety equipment and technology for the motorsports industry, Friday and Saturday, February 26 and 27. The first year endeavor will be held at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel and Trade Center, 181 Boston Post Rd West, in Marlborough, Mass.

Organized and produced by long-time racer and car-owner-builder, Bobby Seymour, of Seymour Enterprises Performance Products, The Racers Expo will feature displays from short-track racings top sanctioning bodies as well as seminars on safety and sponsorships.

With the annual off season race car show in Springfield, MA., not returning this year, Seymour saw a void and felt it was important to continue a program focused on the racer and their safety.

“Our vendors liked the idea of keeping a program geared toward safety in the Northeast,” Seymour said, “Design 500 Racing Suits, Bell Helmets, Safety Solutions Head and Restraint Systems, Seals-It, The University of Northwestern Ohio, The Joie of Seating, all national manufacturers, will be there.”

New England based vendors will also be on hand including Sunoco Racing Fuels, Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment, The Race Depot, Coastal 181, First Turn Driving Experience, and IRacing.com, to name a few.

Randy Lajoie will conduct a seminar on seat safety and Stan Mertz will do the same on
The “Grass Roots Sponsorship in These Economic Times”.

Sanctioning bodies, ISMA, NEMA Midgets, NEMA Lites, Modified Racing Series, Lee USA Speedway, and Seekonk Speedway will have displays with officials on hand to answer questions.

“We are delighted to be a part of it, it gives us an opportunity to showcase our series and allow our competitors a chance to see what is out there for safety,” said MRS President Bateman.
Bateman also disclosed that the series annual mid-winter general meeting will be held on Saturday from 2 to 4 PM with series officials at The Racers Expo location.

Showtime is 4PM to 9PM on Friday and 10AM to 9 PM on Saturday. Admission is FREE.
