QUALIFYING: Seuss Wins Pole At Caraway

Series veteran records first pole of 2010, third of his career

Asheboro, NC — Andy Seuss had a little divine intervention in NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour qualifying at Caraway Speedway on Saturday afternoon.

Seuss had tour chaplain Kyle Frosman draw his number in qualifying draw for the Triad Commercial Property Services 150. Seuss went out fourth and put down a fast-lap of 15.880 seconds (103.149 mph) around the .455-mile oval, where last year he scored one of his two career poles.

L.W. Miller was second fastest, with a lap of 15.926 seconds (102.851 mph). Brian Loftin was third, followed by Frank Fleming and Jason Myers.

Miller will start on the pole after the redraw with Seuss second and Jason Myers third. John Smith will start fourth and Loftin fifth. Fleming was the last car to redraw in sixth.

Miller enters the event just five points behind James Civali in the championship standings. Seuss is third in the points, 32 markers out of the lead.

The green flag is slated for 8 p.m. for the Triad Commercial Property Services 150.
