In anticipation of the 2011 ACT Racing Guide, which will be published and ready for sale soon, we’ll take a look at the speedways on the 2011 ACT Late Model Tour schedule. All of these stats (and more) can be found in the 2011 ACT Racing Guide. The stats below include ACT Late Model Tour point counting events only, unless otherwise noted. More information on the Racing Guides will be available soon.

The Hope We Have

As we begin the season of advent that leads up to the celebration of the birth of Christ I wonder what is on your Christmas List. What do you hope for? Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

So what does a race team hope for? What do they need to take the next step? It is different for each one. Some know exactly what they need and others are still searching for the answer.

What do you hope for? Peter, one of the Apostles, knew what it was to have hope in Christ. You see Peter knew what it was to be hopeless, he denied knowing Christ. He experienced both extremes, being a close companion of Jesus and being totally separated from him.

Car Number Requests for 2011 Being Accepted at Thompson

Thompson, CT — Thompson International Speedway is accepting applications for car number renewals. For ease and convenience, the 2011 registration forms may be accessed from the front page of the Thompson web site.

As in previous years, any driver who secured track points with a registered car number will have until January 15, 2011 to renew that number. If the number is not renewed, it will then be assigned to the first person requesting the number. That determination is made by the date that each request is received at the Thompson Speedway office. If a number is being requested that was not used in the 2010 season, it will be awarded on a first come-first served basis.

The 2011 registration form should be downloaded from the Thompson web site.

The car number/driver information form should then be completely filled out and mailed or faxed to the track office. As a reminder, this form is also used to generate information for payroll. Therefore, track officials ask that competitors take their time in completing the form to be sure all information needed is there and is neat and legible. Forms that can’t be read will be returned to the sender.
