Racing Against Cancer 100 at Seekonk Speedway

Kraze Korlaki Speed Equipment, Inc., Seekonk Speedway, Racing Against Cancer™ and Ronald McDonald House of Providence, jointly announce the Racing Against Cancer 100 for Saturday October 1st at Seekonk Speedway located in Seekonk, MA. This will be the second year Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment, Inc, and Seekonk Speedway have partnered to assist cancer related causes. Building on last year’s success, the October 1, 2011 event will feature unique and exciting racing provided by some of the most exciting touring divisions in the northeast, as well as a Racing Against Cancer™ Track Walk fundraising event to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Providence as the primary recipient.

The racing portion of the event will be highlighted by the International Super Modified Association (ISMA) going wing to wing for 100 laps. Don’t be surprised who might show up this year, as last year’s winner, 2008 NASCAR Camping World Truck Champion Johnny Benson has again shown interest. “I would be interested in returning to Seekonk Speedway in 2011 to defend my win,” proclaimed Benson from his race shop in Cornelius, North Carolina. “The track is a place I would definitely like to race again. As a short track, it is one of the racier short tracks I have been on.” In addition to 100 laps of ISMA on the October 1st race card is a 50 Lap Open Rules Street Stock Race, with $1000 going to the winner plus lap money. The Lee USA Speedway Small Block Super Modifieds are also scheduled to return, joining the Northeast Midget Association NEMA Lite Midgets and The Kraze Powder Puff Series Triple Crown. The Kraze Powder Puff Series Triple Crown will have their third and final race which will be immediately followed by the crowning of its champion..

Racing Against Cancer™ from Westbrook, CT will coordinate the fund raising activities including their new RAC Track Walk program which will precede the racing action. This new & exciting program will feature the Ronald McDonald House of Providence as the primary benefactor, in addition to other cancer related causes. “RAC and Seekonk Speedway hope that the fans, Seekonk teams and local community will come together for a fun motorsports based activity to support a great cause. It really is a great way to bond and enjoy the pre-race morning with your fellow competitors or meet and talk with your favorite driver while walking on the legendary Seekonk Speedway surface,” stated Scott Gregory, Co-founder of the RAC Team. Racing Against Cancer™ will be present at Seekonk Speedway throughout the 2011 racing season to promote their Track Walk program through organizing teams for the Track Walk, soliciting volunteers and to answer any questions.
