Seekonk Speedway Ready to Open the Gates on a New Racing Season

Seekonk, MA — As the snow melts away and the temperatures start to warm, Seekonk Speedway staff and management are ready to let the roar of the engines come to life. With less than a month to go before the first of three open practices, the final preparations are being made. On Saturday, April 2, the gates will swing open to allow competitors from all classes and speedways a chance to gear up for their racing season. The second will be on Saturday April 16, and the third on April 30, with only Seekonk competitors being allowed.

On Sunday, May 1, Seekonk Speedway will open their 66th season with a full A.R.C. card of action, featuring the Pro Stocks, Late Models, Street Stocks and Sport Trucks, Each class will run extra laps, with additional monies available in the purse. The A.R.C. program will return the following Saturday, May 7, and run weekly until the middle of September, when the champions will be crowned. The full schedule is available at seekonkspeedway.com.

Registrations are still being accepted for the upcoming season. While numbers are no longer being reserved, there are still many available.

The All New Seekonk Speedway website is running at full speed. Updated rosters have been added, as well as a chance to purchase tickets and print them at home, allowing the fans to avoid the lines at the gates.

The Staff and Management would like to welcome Mike Chapman as the 2011 A.R.C. Race Director. Mike is in his third year of working with the competitors at Seekonk Speedway, and brings a level of respect and experience to the speedway. Mike is also the Competition Director at Thompson Speedway in CT.
