Waterford Speedbowl postpones 5/26 NASCAR and ISMA racing event
Supermodifieds will return to Speedbowl Saturday 6/9
Waterford, CT — Due to the rain in the region late Saturday afternoon and resulting wet infield conditions plaguing the speedway, Waterford Speedbowl was forced to postpone the night’s scheduled events for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and International Supermodified Association (ISMA). The ISMA Supermodifieds will return to the Speedbowl on Saturday, June 9 and join that night’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing program.
All ticket holders from May 26 must hold their event tickets and will receive admission to the June 9 make-up event, or to any 2012 Speedbowl event or events totaling the same or lesser value. Adult grandstands admission will be honored up to a total of $33 value per event ticket, while Youth tickets will be honored up to a total of $10 value per event ticket.
The June 9 racing program will include the SK Modifieds®, Bob Valenti Auto Mall Late Models, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks along with the ISMA Supermodifieds. The Legend Cars and Super X-Car races originally scheduled for June 9 have been cancelled. The SK Light Modifieds, part of the postponed May 26 program, will return to the Speedbowl next on June 16.
The Speedbowl returns to action this Memorial Day weekend on Sunday evening with Memorial Day Madness featuring Demo Derbies, wild Speedbowl Trailer Race, Ski Race, Fireworks and more.
