New England Racing Fuel Renews Stafford Speedway Contingency Program Sponsorship with Sunoco Gasoline

Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Motor Speedway has announced that New England Racing Fuel with John Holland and Mike Joy have renewed their participation in the track’s Contingency Program for the upcoming 2013 season. New England Racing Fuel was the first company along with CARQUEST Auto Parts to join the SMS Contingency Program for the 1999 season and they have been part of the program every year since. The 2013 season will mark the 15th consecutive season that New England Racing Fuel has been a member of the SMS Contingency Program.

“We’re looking forward to another season at Stafford,” said John Holland of New England Racing Fuel. “We are a charter member of the contingency program and this will be our 15th season in the program. Our relationship with Stafford is our longest running and one of our most successful programs that we have done with tracks throughout the years. The competitors at Stafford give us the most feedback of any track thanking us for our support, which really shows us the value of being involved with Stafford Motor Speedway as a contingency sponsor.”

For the 2013 season, New England Racing Fuel will once again provide fuel certificates in the amount of $50 to third place finishers in each SK Modified® and Late Model feature event, and a $25 fuel certificate to the first, second, and third place finishers in each SK Light Modified, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock feature events. New England Racing Fuel will also offer $25 fuel certificates to the top-3 finishing SK Modified® and Late Model cars who compete with the SMS Spec Engine in each feature event during the 2013 season.

“We’re happy to have New England Racing Fuel back on board with our contingency program for another season,” said SMS COO/GM Mark Arute. “Racing fuel is a cost that our competitors face every week and John and Mike Joy have been great partners to have with their contingency bonus to help offset some of that weekly fuel cost.”

Sunoco is the Official Fuel of NASCAR. Sunoco 112 Supreme and Sunoco GTX 260 can be purchased at the Sunoco truck found in Stafford’s paddock area every Friday night, where Don Stone will redeem competitors’ contingency coupons for free racing gasoline.
