Mike Martin Ready to Work a Little Wing Magic at the CSP Opener
PEORIA, Ariz. (February 15, 2015) – As we draw near to the opening days of the 2015 Championship season, The Magic Man will aim to start his season a little sooner than usual with a rare Wing appearance to take on the stars of the ASCS Southwest Wing Sprint Car Series at the Canyon Speedway Season Opener on Saturday February 28th.
This will mark the first appearance of the series to Canyon Speed…way in a few years and the first time back in the Ultimate Off-road, Sherwin Williams wing car in recent years for The Magic Man.
“I love racing at Canyon Speedway and have had some success there” stated Martin. “We were slated to start our points season in Las Vegas for the USAC race but decided to get a head start and race the wing show at Canyon.”
The ASCS Wing Sprint Car Series will join forces with the IMCA Modified Season Opener as Ricky Thornton Jr. aims to defend his title and capture the 9th World Vapor $2,500 to win Canyon Speedway IMCA Championship.
Matt Martinez will lead the Arizona Differential Pure Stocks into their $2,000 to win title chase while David Harrington will be busy defending the Scottsdale Muffler & Automotive $750 to win crown. The Scottsdale Muffler & Automotive Renegades will be racing for $300 to win and $50 to start thanks to their title sponsor. Dwarf Cars will make their season debut to complete the field.
