Winter Returns to Pro Series at Beech Ridge

Dan Winter of Windham, NH will run in the Pro Series at Beech Ridge (ME) Motor Speedway in a former Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Super Late Model. Vulc-Tech Tire and Auto Repair of Hudson, NH will sponsor his full-time effort. Winter felt that finding sponsorship has been extremely difficult. He has sent 70 proposals since August. Winter has sold 25 squares on the back of the car for $20 each.

Depending on how the season goes, Winter may enter a Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model or  Granite State Pro Stock Series race.

With the growth of the Pro Series at Beech Ridge, the division has had some great competition. Winter is looking forward to racing with drivers like defending champion Dave Farrington, Jr., Dan McKeage, Kelly Moore, and John Peters. His goals for the season are to win Rookie of the Year and to get top 15 finishes, and maybe top five.

The NASCAR Whelen All American Series Season opener at Beech Ridge will be held on Saturday May 23.

Winter made seven Pro Stock races last season. He started 29th and finished 20th in his first race at Oxford Plains (ME) Speedway. His best finish in 3 races at Beech Ridge was 18th.. He had top tens in three races at Wiscasset (ME) Speedway.

Winter finished fifth in the standings for the Thursday Thunder Legends division at Beech Ridge. Although winless, he collected many top fives and top tens. No. 92 Colby Meserve of Buxton, ME and No. 4 Thomas Everson of Gilmanton NH purchased Winter’s cars.
