Clauson Racking Up Circular Insanity Wins – Leads Midget Week Points

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (June 3, 2016) – Bryan Clauson’s “Circular Insanity” Tour pursuit of 200 races has most definitely kicked into high gear.

After leading several laps and being around for the end of his third Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, Clauson has been on a tear with four consecutive Sprint Car wins and holds the points lead at the midway point of USAC’s Indiana Midget week with three consecutive runner-up finishes.

Racking up nine races over the past eight days, the pursuit of 200 races is now up to 65 with the win count climbing to 17.

The busy spate of events began last Thursday night, May 26, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds with Clauson racing to a fourth-place finish aboard the Cancer Treatment Centers of America/ Jonathan Byrd’s Restaurant and Hospitality Group No. 6 Silver Crown car in the “Hoosier Hundred”.

Following some final Indy 500 prep at Friday’s Carb Day, Clauson embarked upon his third career Indianapolis 500 in the Dale Coyne/Jonathan Byrd’s Racing No. 88 Cancer Treatment Centers of America entry and sat atop the leader board for several laps at the race’s midway point before finishing out the event in 23rd.

Clauson finished off the big Sunday double by hustling up the road to Kokomo Speedway, where he drove the Cancer Treatment Centers of America/Jonathan Byrd’s No. 63 Non-Wing Sprint Car to his 14th overall feature win of 2016.

That Sunday night score Sprint Car victory kicked off a run that is still going after Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday triumphs at Montpelier, Gas City, and Putnamville in the companion portion of USAC Midget Week.
