Mother Nature Takes 10th Win at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sunday

Dirt Track rained out again; makeup details to be determined

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – It’s getting old at this point, but Devil’s Bowl Speedway has been forced to postpone racing for the tenth time in 2016 due to weather, this time for the Dirt Track on Sunday, August 21. A forecast calling for a 90% to 100% chance of late-afternoon and evening thunderstorms has forced the decision.

Sunday’s event was scheduled to be the “Vince Quenneville Sr. Memorial” for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, presented by Interstate All Battery Center of Rutland. The event will be made up at a date to be named soon.

Racing returns on Saturday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m. on the half-mile Asphalt Track with the annual “Double Stack Night” presented by Sugar & Spice Restaurant. The event will showcase double feature races for all four weekly divisions, along with the fifth annual Great North American Pancake Eating Championship.

The 3/10-mile Dirt Track returns to action on Sunday, August 28 at 6:00 p.m., with the Charlie LaDuc Memorial “Ol’ Reliable 54” event for Sportsman Modifieds, plus Renegades and Mini Stocks.
