Big Tine Expands Partnership with Cunningham Motorsports

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (April 5, 2017) – Big Tine, year-round deer products to support a healthy and flourishing herd, is expanding its partnership with Cunningham Motorsports for the 2017 ARCA Racing Series season.  Big Tine will be the featured primary sponsor of the No. 22 Ford Fusion driven by Shane Lee for the 2017 racing season, with select primary and associate sponsorship of the No. 77 Ford Fusion driven by Dalton Sargeant.  The Music City 200 will be the debut of both Big Tine primary paint schemes for the 2017 season.

“It’s great to have Big Tine on board for the entire season,” said Lee. “It’s a fun brand to work with and I think it’s going to shape up to be a pretty good year. Big Tine has had a good relationship with Cunningham for a year now, so hopefully I can come into this and bring them the same success they saw last year with Chase (Briscoe) and help continue to expand this sponsorship.”

The expansion of the partnership between Big Tine and Cunningham Motorsports comes after a successful first season in motorsports for the company, as Briscoe’s No. 77 Big Tine Ford Fusion reached victory lane six times. Cunningham and Big Tine both look to continue the trend this season, starting with the Music City 200 from Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on April 8, 2017.

“It’s wonderful to have the Big Tine family back for 2017,” said Scherer. “They are not only superb business partners, but great people as well. We had a good working relationship with them last year and it’s great to be able to have them come back for another season.”

At Big Tine, their goal is to create the highest quality products which will support a healthy, flourishing deer herd. Nutritional reward is the key focus to every Big Tine product on the market. They do not use bi-products or fillers, because your deer deserve nothing but the best. That is also why the whole grains used in Big Tine are grown in Indiana on their farms, harvested and stored at their facilities to ensure a top-quality product from planting to feeding.

“Last year was our first racing experience and we couldn’t have written a better season if we tried,” said Scott Pet President/CEO Mike Bassett. “At Big Tine we pride ourselves in taking things to the next level and we believe we can do that in our second year of racing as well. We have two cars, two phenomenal drivers and both share a love of the outdoors which goes great with our company values…2017 is definitely off to a great start.”

It was a good start to the season with Big Tine on the No. 22 and No. 77 with Shane Lee finishing third and Dalton Sargeant finishing fourth at Daytona International Speedway as both drivers led during the 75-lap event and stayed within striking distance of the lead for the entire race. Looking ahead to Nashville, Sargeant hopes to be able to pick up his second career ARCA win and first with sponsor Big Tine.

“It’ll be fun to get back to short track racing at Nashville, especially after getting a little taste of it at the test a few weeks ago,” said Sargeant. “It was almost intimidating to race against one Big Tine car in 2016 with Chase (Briscoe) and now it’ll be really cool for everyone to see two Big Tine Ford Fusions on the race track.”
