Sportsman Shootout Events Featured on ‘Speedway Showcase’

Four Beyea Custom Header Sportsman Shootout Series Events Will Air on Spectrum Sports and ‘Speedway Showcase’ in 2017
WEEDSPORT, NY (May 12, 2017) – In another exciting announcement for Weedsport Speedway’s Beyea Custom Headers Sportsman Shootout Series drivers, select series events will now air on ‘Speedway Showcase’ as a part of Spectrum Sports.

Hosted by veteran Central New York broadcast talents Doug Elkins, Rich Vleck, and Paul Szmal; ‘Speedway Showcase’ is a product of years of experience in broadcasting dirt track racing and they are excited to bring four Weedsport Speedway events to racing homes in 2017 in association with Weedsport Productions.

“This is an exciting time for Weedsport, its teams, as well as all area Spectrum customers,” declared Rich Vleck, the lead editor and color commentator for ‘Speedway Showcase’. “Weedsport is second-to-none and to be able to showcase the great racing that goes on there to millions of homes across Upstate New York will only add to its impressive reputation.”

Weedsport Speedway’s one-hour broadcasts on ‘Speedway Showcase’ will begin on June 15 at 11:00 a.m. with Sportsman coverage from the May 21 Empire State Challenge.

On June 29 ‘Speedway Showcase’ will feature a special 90-minute program featuring the Beyea Custom Headers Sportsman Shootout Series as well as the Big Block/Small Block Challenge.

The Sportsman event from Big Block Monday presented by Big Dog Country 103.5FM will air on July 30 with the prestigious Sportsman Classic presented by Industrial Tire of CNY airing on August 27.

All broadcast air times are currently set for 11:00 a.m.  Air dates and times are subject to change.

Weedsport Speedway’s 2017 season opens on Sunday, May 21 with the Craftsman World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Empire State Challenge as well as the Beyea Custom Headers Sportsman Shootout Series and the Senior Services Insurance Agency Sportsman Premium Dash.

Action returns on Monday, May 22 with Big Block Monday presented by Big Dog County 103.5FM featuring the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds and the Beyea Custom Headers Sportsman Shootout Series.

Racing begins each night at 7 p.m.
