Claremont Speedway Readies For Late Model 70 Lapper
CLAREMONT NH: After two weeks of racing Mother Nature caught up with Claremont Speedway. Although it was not raining, the racing action was cancelled at 12:15 pm. To allow fans and racers alike a chance to make other plans for Mothers Day weekend. Although it did not rain during the early afternoon rains moved in at 8:15 and would have canceled the show.
This Saturday, May 20th the Late Models will take to the track in a 70 lap extra distance event. Only being appropriate the Late Models are running for the Exide ShorTrack Series and Exide Night at the Races will allow fans to see some exciting action as the drivers will be lined up for the first time this season on their 3 week average.
During the 2000 season at Claremont there will be 5 extra distance events one for all divisions. Pit gates will open at 3 with Nascar license holders fee will be $20.00 and non-license holders $25.00. Admission in the spectator grandstands is $10.00 for Adults $2/00 for Children 6 & under always free and students $6.00. Claremont Speedway is located on Thrasher Rd. Claremont, NH.
