Waterford Speedbowl Gives the Fans Some Modified Excitement
Waterford, CT — Jeff Pearl held off defending champion Dennis Gada to grab his fifth SK Modified feature win of the season at Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday evening.
Other feature winners were Bruce Thomas Jr. (Late Model), Dwayne Dorr (Sportsman), Randolph Churchill Jr. (Mini Stocks), and Nokie Fornoro (NEMA Midgets).
Pearl passed early leader Frank Mucciacciaro Jr. on lap-four, quickly distancing himself from the field. By the mid-way point Dennis Gada moved into contention, attempting to pass the winner in both the high & low grooves. At the finish, Pearl prevailed by a car-length. Rounding-out the top-five was current point-leader Rob Janovic Jr., Mucciacciaro, and Tyler Chadwick.
