He is survived by his wife, Bettie Card, of Punta Gorda; son, Loren R. Card, of Long Island, N.Y.; daughter, Lorene Schlie and her husband, Ron, of Downers Grove, Ill.; grandchildren, Andrew Schlie and his wife, Kate, and Michael Schlie; great-grandchildren, Megan, Erin and Hudson; brothers, Richard and Eddie; and sisters, Edie and Eunice.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home,
