Thompson, CT — During an exciting night of racing, the points battles continued to heat up at Thompson International Speedway on Thursday. Kerry Malone of Needham, MA, won a Sunoco Modified main event that shook up the point standings heading into the final event of the regular season next Thursday night, September 20, 2007. Mike O’Sullivan of Springfield, MA, padded his point lead with a Pro Stock feature victory while Keith DeSanctis of Monson, MA, by virtue of his Limited Sportsman victory, moved into the point lead in the division. Keeping in it the family, Tommy O’Sullivan added to the celebration by winning in the Late Model division. Unofficial O’Sullivan teammate Tim Sullivan of E. Windsor bested the TIS Modified field helping his championship hopes. Scott Michalski of South Killingly earned his first win of the 2007 season in the Mini Stocks.
Kerry Malone of Needham, MA saw it all en route to his third Sunoco Modified win of the season. He nearly spun, took the lead, and his car was suspected of leaking fluid. But in the end, Malone was dry all the way to the checkered flag.
For the second week in a row the points were shaken up atop the Sunoco Modified point standings. With his runner-up finish, Keith Rocco took over the points lead by 14 points over a tie for second between Tommy Cravenho and Woody Pitkat.

Waterford, CT — As a race season moves along, a race team’s objectives for the season can evolve. At the beginning of the 2007 season, Tim Jordan and his #47 team set out to defend their Late Model championship at Waterford Speedbowl (CT). They were on their way to contending for the title after winning three straight races, but a string of bad luck dropped them back in the race slightly. At that point, Jordan attempted to gain more touring experience by towing to races at Oxford Plains Speedway (ME) and Seekonk Speedway (MA).
Now, with just a few races to go before the racing season is up, Jordan is working to just make his racecar better. The set-up of the #47 has been hard to fine tune since a mid-season wreck, but the Jordan Racing team is getting closer to figuring it out as evidenced by a third-place finish in last Saturday night’s race.

Racer Sean Caisse is fairly well known in the Northeast. The Pelham, N.H., native began racing in the region in 1997 and is now in his third year of competition in NASCAR’s Busch East Series. In his full-time Busch East effort, Caisse drive’s for Andy Santerre Motorsports. This season, he’s collected three wins and five pole awards, which goes along with his 2005 Busch East Rookie of the Year title and the four wins, seven poles, eleven top-five finishes and 17 top-ten finishes he’d collected before the start of this racing season. Caisse’s success has him curious about how he will perform when stacked against the next level of NASCAR competition. In the #03 Casella Waste Systems Toyota Tundra, he’ll drive 200 laps against some of the best competition in NASCAR to see where his next career move should take him.
“I have a good network of people that give me the right advice on what to do to further my racing career,” said Caisse. “A lot of people told me to run a Truck Series race – that it would give me the experience I was looking for on radial tires, in tough competition. The team that was on the top of the list when I asked who to call was Germain Racing. Casella Waste Systems, my sponsor in the Busch East Series, was on board and we’re very happy to put this together for my Truck Series debut in the New Hampshire 200.”
