Dover, DE — Joey Logano (No. 20 Joe Gibbs Driven Chevrolet) finished second but became the NASCAR Busch East Series’ first rookie champion in the Sunoco 150 at Dover International Speedway Friday afternoon.
Sean Caisse (No. 44 Casella Waste Systems Chevrolet) took the race lead from Logano with just eight laps to go, and then withstood a final charge by Logano to win by a car length.

Jeff Abold of Pennellville, N.Y. is the 2007 USAC Northeast Ford Focus driving champion and his team, Pat Abold Motorsports, is the car entrant champion. Abold emerged as the champion following the cancellation of the originally-scheduled October 6-7 events at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway.
Abold, who was the runner-up to Ryan Smith in the 2006 series standings, posted five victories, a second and two fourths while notching 11 “top-10s” in 12 starts and finished 27 points ahead of P.J. Stergios in the final standings.]

Naples, ME — The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model event that was rained out on Saturday night, September 15th at White Mountain Motorsports Park has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 13th-14th.
The race will now be part of a weekend schedule of events that also include the season finales for all of the Northern-based PASS tours – the PASS North Super Late Models, PASS Outlaw Late Models, PASS Modifieds and PASS Pullen Heavy Industries Sportsmen.

Thompson, CT — A season packed with racing excitement at Thompson International Speedway came down to the final night with champions crowned in all six NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions. At the night’s end, Woody Pitkat of Stafford made his first appearance in Sunoco Modified victory lane. But, it was Keith Rocco of Wallingford who drove his Bannister Motorsports #6 to a fifth place finish to earn the team their second championship in three seasons.
In Pro Stock action, Mike O’Sullivan of Springfield, MA, scored his second Thompson Pro Stock championship in winning-style taking down Thursday night’s feature win. In similar fashion, Kurt Vigeant of Oxford, MA, capped off his first TIS Modified championship with a feature win in the regular season finale.

Waterford, CT — On Wednesday evening September 19th, the Speedbowl honored the champions of its 2007 Wild N’ Wacky Wednesday series.
Richard “Bubby” Brouwer (X Modifieds), Jason Palmer (Legends), John Yagmin (Super X Car), Brad Vogelsong (X Car), Kathy Civardi (Super X Car Women On Wheels), and, Debra Brockett (X Car Women On Wheels) prevailed as series champions, receiving the big hardware from Master of Ceremonies Gary Danko during a catered event on the speedway grounds.
