PASS North Ready to Head to All-Star Speedway

Naples, MEAs the race season winds down, so are the chances to see the drivers of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models before they pack it in for a winter of bench racing. There are just two PASS North events just to run in 2007 and the next one will be a Saturday night shootout at All-Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire on October 6th.

“We’re looking forward to going back to All-Star Speedway,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry. “[Track owner] Bobby McArthur has done a great job making improvements for the fans and competitors at the track and there was plenty of action when we went there early in the Summer. The racing is always fantastic on the tight quarter-mile. It is also a track where they feature weekly Pro Stock racing, so we should pick up some of the guys who know the track well for this race. It will be a good show.”

The drivers who will be heading to All-Star have a few different agendas.

Ben Rowe currently leads his father Mike Rowe by only 12 markers in the PASS North standings. Ben is a three-time PASS North champion and although Mike has won some of the tour’s biggest races, he does not own a PASS North title yet.

There are also several standout drivers who are looking for their first career PASS North victories. Travis Benjamin and Trevor Sanborn have been knocking on the door of a win all season long. Rookies Steve Berry, Adam Bates and Derek Ramstrom are also on top of their games and appear ready to join the list of PASS winners. New England racing legend Dave Dion has been quick in his #29 Ford and would love to add a PASS North victory to his mile-long list of career accomplishments. Last season’s Rookie of the Year Alan Tardiff is ready to shake off his bad luck as well and break on through to victory lane. Underdog Gary Bellefleur has been getting better and better each time out this season as well, and would love to end the final stretch of 2007 on a high note.

Of course winning never gets old either. Both Rowes, Richie Dearborn, Cassius Clark and Johnny Clark would like to add at least one more victory to their 2007 records before the season is over.

The PASS North event at All-Star Speedway is scheduled for Saturday, October 6th.
