New Indoor Racing Series Takes Center Stage Starting Jan. 6th at Mototown

Jack Arute & Ted Christopher Team Up for the Winter Series

Windsor, CT — Northeastern racing fans have a new way to pass the winter months. Mototown USA, New England’s newest and largest indoor speedway, embarks on a 12 race series featuring mini-sprints, mini-stocks, Modified Lites and ¾ Dirt Late Models. The indoor racing action starts Sunday afternoon, January 6th, and runs through April 20th.

Racing takes place on a ¼ mile clay oval that sits completely under roof and free from inclement weather.

Headlining the series are 1200cc, 750cc and 600cc winged mini-sprints. Many of the area outdoor standouts have practiced at Mototown and are expected to compete.

“It’s like a Chili Bowl right here in New England”, remarked ABC/ESPN Sports’ Jack Arute. “This Bud Light 12 Pack Series will give area fans some exciting action.”

Arute is teamed with Stafford Motor Speedway’s 2007 SK Modified® Track Champion Ted Christopher in the 750cc Mini Sprint division. Both are driving for Haskell Motorsports, the team that captured the 750cc track championship at Whip City Speedway this past season.

“Teddy got the hang of things real quick,” said Arute. “It didn’t take long for him to get within a few tenths of the track record.”

“It took a while for me to adjust my style from the asphalt,” explained Christopher. “But once I got the hang of it, it was great.”

Action gets underway Sunday with practice at 11:00am followed by qualifying and a full slate of feature events. For more information on the Bud Light 12 Pack Racing Series contact Mototown USA or go to www.mototownusa.com.
