Lindsay Clynne Will Represent WGI in Ms. Motorsports 2008 Pageant
Race Tickets Will Be On Sale at The Show

Watkins Glen, NY — Watkins Glen International will join a wide variety of automotive exhibiters at the 23rd Annual Motorsports Racing Car Show being held at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ, January 18-20, 2008. The historic road course will feature its NASCAR Nationwide Series show car as well as one from the IndyCar® Series at its display. Lindsay Clynne, a regular national anthem singer at The Glen, will represent WGI in the Ms. Motorsports 2008 pageant on Saturday, January 19.

Fans that visit the WGI display will have several ways to feed their need for racing. First, they can get up-close and personal with the #33 Camping World show car driven by Kevin Harvick and Cale Gale in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the #7 Motorola Andretti Green Racing IndyCar Series show car driven by Danica Patrick. Second, they can hop into one of two racing simulators and challenge the twists and turns of The Glen just like their favorite NASCAR driver. Third, they can pick-up the most up-to-date information about The Glen and speak to several WGI staff members about the upcoming season. Finally, Ms. Motorsports 2008 contestant Lindsay Clynne will make appearances throughout the weekend. The booth will be open to fans 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, January 18, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Saturday, January, 19, and 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 20. Fans will be able to find the booth just inside the main entrance. The price of admission at the show is $15 for a one-day pass and $34 for a weekend pass.

Lindsay Clynne is no stranger to the spot light as she has regularly performed “The Star Spangled Banner” and “O’ Canada” during pre-race ceremonies at The Glen since 2002. Her rendition of the Canadian National Anthem, prior to the 2007 Centurion Boats of The Glen, was broadcasted on ESPN. Fans will be able to catch the 23 year old, Oriskany, NY native and the other contestants on the Motorsports Show main stage for the finals of the Ms. Motorsports 2008 competition on Saturday, January 19 at 4:00 PM.

The Ms. Motorsports 2008 pageant is open to females between the ages of 18 and 35. Contestants will be judged in five areas – sportswear attire, swimsuit competition, photo pose with a race car, personal interview with the judges and answering a question on stage. Judging will be based on the contestants’ personality, poise, appearance, choice of swimwear, choice of sports attire and their photo pose with the race car.
