Speedbowl Wild n’ Wacky Wednesday Results, 5/21/08
Waterford, CT — Youngster Ryan Morgan, only 14-years old and a recent graduate of the quarter midget ranks, dominated the Legends 20-lap feature at the Waterford Speedbowl Wednesday evening. In capturing his first-ever win in the division, Morgan quickly distanced himself from the field finishing several lengths in front of Mike Alcaro. Thomas Gray, George Whitney, and Max Zachem completed the top-five.
Other Feature winners were Jon Porter (Super X Car), Brad Voglesong (X Car), and Richard Fratus Jr. (X Modified).
In Super-X action, Jon Porter notched his second-consecutive feature, narrowly defeating Greg Moran Sr. after a late-race caution set the stage for a green-white-checker finish. Following was Steve Barrett, Mike Maskell III, and Greg Moran Jr. “Bad Brad” Voglesong came from the back of the starting field to score his second-straight X-Car victory. Once out, front the defending champ took total command winning by a wide margin. Pete Zaikarite, Dustin Gage, Tom Johnston, and Patrick Williams rounded-out the top-five. Richard Fratus Jr. led from start-to-finish in scoring his first career win in the X-Modifieds. Following was David Flammia Jr., John Kurtzman, Brian Rondeau, and Jeff Parker.
Patrick Williams scored the “Wild n’ Wacky Barrel Race”.
