Weather Ruins TNTT Opener at Thompson
Thompson, CT — Mother Nature moved in and forced the cancellation of Thompson International Speedway’s opening Thursday night race program. A consistent rain and drizzle forced the hand of the track’s management to cancel the event shortly before 12 Noon.
The current conditions along with the weather forecasts convinced us that it was in everyone’s best interest to cancel tonight’s event. We now look forward to a beautiful weekend for our holiday Eve of Destruction program on Sunday,” said track owner, Don Hoenig.
The Sunday program will be an Extreme Family Fun night. It will begin at 2 PM on Sunday afternoon when the gates will open so that families can being their youngsters and enjoy the free attractions on the midway. At 6 PM attention turns to the Eve of Destruction program that will provide an evening of fun-filled, action-packed thrills and spills.
Opening night for Thompson’s Thursday Night Thompson Thunder (TNTT) race program will now be held on May 29th.
