Yuhas to Turn Lap at Dodd Stadium for MetroCast
Danielson, CT — Generally at the Connecticut Defenders games the likes of Adam Witter can be found heading for home plate. Baseball fans will be treated to something a little different this Monday night, July 14, 2008, when MetroCast partners with the Defenders to offer discount admission. The NASCAR Late Model stock car driven by Ron Yuhas, Jr. of Groton, CT, and sponsored by MetroCast will circle the bases as well. The #96 will be on display all evening for an up close look at an authentic racecar.
Yuhas is a regular competitor in the Late Model division at the NASCAR-sanctioned Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT. Owners Mike and Michelle Sangermano look to campaign at the Thompson International Speedway this season as well.
This season Yuhas has posted 11 top-five finishes in 11 starts including wins on April 26 and May 24. Yuhas also competes weekly in the SK Modified division at the Speedbowl for car owners Mike and Maggie Murphy.
MetroCast provided 20 four-packs of tickets to a number of fans at the Waterford Speedbowl during Saturday night’s racing events. The Connecticut Defenders, Double-A team for the San Francisco Giants, will take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 6:35 PM at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, CT.
