Bowes, Morgan Wild n’ Wacky Winners
Waterford, CT — John Bowes took the lead on the backstretch with eight laps remaining and went on to a convincing X-Car win in Wild n’Wacky Wednesday action at Waterford Speedbowl. It was the third win of the season for Bowes. Steve Violette claimed second with a last lap pass while early leader Daniel Madore was third.
Other winners were Ryan Morgan in the Legends, David Flammia Jr. in the X-Modifieds and Greg Moran Jr. in the Super X Cars. Nicole Harris won the Women on Wheels X Car feature.
The 14-year old Morgan survived a host of restarts before besting Mark Bakaj and Jason Palmer. Flammia pulled away from an 11th lap restart and went on the defeat Kevin Shea and new point leader Dean Christensen. Morgan survived a host of restarts and finished with Jon Porter on his bumper en route to his first-ever victory.
Justin Ross won the Legends Young Lions battle.
Zach Thomas beat Ryan Morgan in the special SXR cars race. It was the Speedbowl debut for popular division. Doug Hurtz was third.
