Palmer, Arute Win At Speedbowl
Waterford, CT — Jason Palmer continued his quest of two straight championships with a victory in the 20-lap Legends feature in Wild n’ Wacky Wednesday action at Waterford Speedbowl. Palmer, also the Saturday night leader, took the lead away from Shaun Buffington with five laps left and went on to finish ahead of George Whitney and Ryan Morgan.
Other winners were Wayne Arute in the 15-lap X-Modified feature; Patrick Williams in the X-Car 20-lapper; Greg Moran Sr. in the Super X 20 lapper and Kathy Civardi in the 10-lap Women on Wheels event.
It was the second win of the season for Arute who held off a late charge from Richard Durkee IV. A winner for the first time this season, Williams bested Curt D’Addario and Richard Hurne while Moran bested John Yagmin.
