Stafford Motor Speedway 2009 DARE Stock Rules Released
Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Motor Speedway has released their 2009 rules for the DARE Stock division, which are now available online in the DOWNLOADS/RULES section of www.staffordspeedway.com.
The 2009 DARE Stock rules have several minor technical changes along with a procedural change. The procedure change deals with the DARE Stock win rule. Beginning in 2009, any current season DARE Stock feature winner will not be able to be posted to start higher than 16th position in any remaining feature events.
On the technical side, DARE Stock competitors will have the option of running Comp Cam Roller Tip Rocker p/n 1412-16 and will have the option of placing the overflow catch can under the rear trunk lid.
The remaining technical changes all deal in the frame area of the car. DARE Stock competitors will be able to use the same tube front sub-frame as the Late Model cars as well as the same upper and lower trailing arms. DARE Stock cars will also be permitted to run jacking bolts, but only on the rear springs of the car.
“We’re excited to be able to release the DARE Stock rules with as few changes as we have for the upcoming 2009 season,” said Stafford COO / GM Mark Arute. “The fewer rule changes we have, the less changes our competitors have to make to their cars over the off-season. We had great car count and excellent competition in the DARE Stock division this year and we anticipate another great season in 2009.”
2009 Rulebooks for Stafford’s SK Modfiied® and Late Model divisions are forthcoming and will be posted to the DOWNLOADS/RULES section of SMS Online at www.staffordspeedway.com as soon as they are completed. The 2009 SK Light Modified, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock rulebooks can all currently be found online in the DOWNLOADS/RULES section.
