Marty Bezema Passes at 70
Martin B. Bezema, 70
WRENTHAM – Martin B. Bezema, 70, of Wrentham, passed away on October 7, 2008, in Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Cornell) Bezema.
Born in Hengelow, Holland on September 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Marten and Anna (Stulen) Bezema.
Martin was raised and educated in Holland, immigrating to the United States in 1957. He later served his country in the U.S. Army. He was the longtime owner and operator of Bezema Buick Pontiac GMC in Norwood, and enjoyed auto racing in his earlier days.
In addition to his wife Judith, he is survived by two sons, Martin Bezema, Jr., of Wrentham, Erik Bezema of Wrentham; a daughter, Kristen Sullivan of Wrentham; 12 grandchildren; and two brothers, John Bezema of Cumberland, and Rinus Bezema of Oregon.
He was the brother of the late Gertruida Bellew.
All funeral arrangements at the John J. Diamond Funeral Home, North Attleboro, were private.
