ISMA Annual Awards Banquet to Honor 2008 Achievers
Oswego, NY – As is tradition, the International SuperModified Association will gather together one more Saturday this season – this time to honor those who have earned special awards throughout 2008. The banquet is on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York and tickets are now on sale.
The resplendent Shenandoah Club house, just a short walk (or shuttle ride) from the main Casino, will provide the cozy banquet setting. There is a limit on tickets to be sold and for hotel reservations, so don’t delay if you plan on attending.
First, tickets must be purchased by November 5, 2008. They are $40 each and may be purchased at Slice n Go Deli in Fulton on Rt. 481, at the ISMA trailer at Thompson Speedway during the World Series, by going online and ordering or just by mailing a check for the number of tickets to ISMA, PO Box 633, Central Square, NY 13036. Hotel rooms have been blocked in for ISMA at the Tower Hotel in the main Casino ($129 @ night) or at The INN at $84.00 a night. A 24-hour shuttle runs from that site to and from the Casino. Room reservation deadline is October 22, 2008, so call 1-800-771-7711 to book. Ask for ISMA block when you call.
The banquet begins at 6pm with cocktails followed by a buffet at 7pm, awards and entertainment from 10pm until 2am. As has been the policy, no one will be admitted to the banquet hall without a ticket.
A general membership meeting will take place earlier that Saturday at 2pm and all members are invited to attend.
