Bobby Grigas III Teams up with Crew Chief Kevin Crowley
Concord, NC — Bobby Grigas III keeps coming close to getting to victory lane on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. The young driver has the talent to win and the equipment to lead him to the front, but the Tour is one of the most competitive forms of racing out there, and to win you need to have every piece of the puzzle fitting just correctly.
Now, as he heads into the 2009 season, Grigas feels that he has put together that final piece that can turn him into a Tour winner in crew chief Kevin Crowley. The veteran Modified wrench will join Grigas” #09 team immediately. Crowley comes to the team along with a number of experienced and dedicated crew members as one big package.
“Last year, I had a few ups and downs,” said Grigas. “Our problem was that we didn’t have a guy who could make the calls to win. I think now this will be the final piece to the puzzle for at least a victory. We have a whole team together now. I now have a crew who can change tires as fast as anyone on the Tour. I’m excited and now I can finally show people what I can do.”
The Grigas/Crowley pairing will make their competitive debut together during February’s World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway(FL).
“We’re going down to New Smyrna to get acquainted with each other,” said Grigas. “I’ll learn how he sets up the cars and he’ll learn how I drive them. It should be a good experience down there.”
And good experiences are exactly what Grigas is looking for in 2009.
“Hopefully, I”ll get one victory next season”if not more.”
