Stafford Speedway Finalizes Limited Late Model Spec Engine Package
Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Speedway’s tech staff has finalized a rules package for the Limited Late Model division utilizing the 602 Spec Engine. The 602 crate engine is available for a base price of $3,200.00 from Patrick Townsend at Central Chevrolet. Central Chevrolet’s Parts Department can be contacted at 413-781-1410. The 602 Spec Engine package includes the following upgrades. ? Edelbrock 2913 4-Barrel Intake Manifold at a price of $254.95
· #80541-1 Holley 650 cfm carburetor at a price of $750.00
· Comp Cams P/N 1416-16 1.6 rocker arms at a price of $110.00
· Comp Cams P/N 981-16 valve springs at a price of $95.00
· 3″ exhaust
· Overall Car Weight 3,000 pounds
· 54% left side weight allowance
· Kooks Stainless Steel mufflers P/N R300-10 at a price of $69.95
· Kooks Stainless Steel Headers P/N 15055 at a price of $500.00 or Flow Rite Stainless Steel Headers P/N FR275FF at a price of $500.00
· Gear Ratio: 3:23 to 1 for GM Rear End, 3:25 to 1 for Ford Rear End, Transmission must have a 1:50 gear ratio for these gear ratios to be utilized.
· The use of an ARP New Era Adjustable Rear Wing at a price of $200.00
· 2009 Mid-American NGB body with New Era Adjustable Wing (Note: These bodies have two more inches of clearance under the hood, designed for the high intakes on the crate motors.) The following NGB bodies are approved for any Limited Late Model car that is running the 602 spec engine package: The anticipated cost for the 602 spec motor from intake to pan will be $5,600.00. All other Limited Late Model rules will remain the same at this time. These 602 Spec Engine rules are not intended to antiquate the existing engine, but are being developed as a cost savings option. We will continue to monitor this program and make adjustments if needed.
Due to the anticipated increase in demand for this engine package, Stafford Motor Speedway has added T/A Engines in Plainville, CT to its Approved Service Center list for the 602 Limited Late Model Spec Engine package. Approved Service Centers for Limited Late Model 602 Spec Engines:
