Dylan Smith Honored as 2008 Allison Legacy North Race Series Champion

Newburgh, NY — Randolph, VT Driver Dylan Smith was honored this past weekend as the 2008 Allison Legacy North Race Series Champion.  Dylan’s 2008 season was highlighted with 3 Feature wins 8 top fives and 10 top tens in 11 races.  Also in attendance to present the 2008 aDP Rivet Rookie of the Year Award was Mr. Peter DePaola and his wife Ellen of aDP Rivet.  Other drivers in attendance were 3rd place finisher James Logan of Dighton, MA.,  6th place finisher Melissa Fifield of Wakefield, NH.  7th place went to Bennington, NH driver Kyle Poodiack.  The long distance traveler of the evening was 10th place finisher Shannon Smith of Hancock, ME.  Shannon had traveled all the way from Charlotte, NC where she is attending college to attend the evenings festivities.  Series Director Michael A. Vasquez, Sr. also presented Series Technical Inspector Randall Brolsma with a plaque honoring him for his outstanding work during the 2008 season.  A special thanks was also given to John Berardi and his Daughter Stephanie of Berardi Racing for being the official chassis repair specialist of the ALNRS.  It was Mr. Berardi’s quality workmanship that kept several teams running through out the 2008 season. 

With the 2008 season finally in the books, the ALNRS looks forward to kicking off their 2009 Season as they return to the Budwiser Nationals at The Waterford Speedbowl the weekend of March 28.  The Bowl has provided some of the best side by side racing for the ALNRS with several finishes having to be determined by computer scoring.  So come join us as we start another exciting year of Allison Legacy Racing where we showcase tomorrows stars today.
