Thompson Offers Unique Sponsor Exposure Program for Racers
Thompson, CT — The Thompson International Speedway today announced a unique and innovative program that will assist race teams, inform and entertain fans and help to provide exposure for the sponsors of Thompson race teams. This program is another effort of the Speedway to provide additional support for race teams that compete regularly in the Thursday Night Thompson Thunder (TNTT) series. The program is being offered to competitors in all of the track’s “Super 6” NASCAR Whelen All American Series divisions.
“This program provides an opportunity for racers to offer something special to their sponsors. A 10′ by 10′ display area will be provided free of charge to regular TNTT competitors so that their sponsors can display a wide array of products and services to race fans. Sponsors my provide product displays, brochures and demonstrations directly to Thompson’s race fans. We feel this is an important opportunity for everyone involved,” said track owner and promoter, Don Hoenig.
Competitors will be asked to coordinate their sponsor’s display with Thompson’s Russ Dowd. Dowd will work with the race teams to select a regular TNTT date and will assign a display area on the midway. Drivers will be encouraged to visit their sponsor’s display during the evening to meet fans and sign autographs. The track would like to begin this program on May 21, 2009 which is the opening night of the TNTT series.
Complete details for this program were presented to regular TNTT competitors at the ICEBREAKER the weekend of April 4th & 5th at the Thompson International Speedway. Any competitor seeking additional information is urged to call Russ Dowd at the Thompson Speedway track office. 860-923-2280.
