Storms Postpone Eve of Destruction at Thompson
Thompson, CT — Severe weather throughout northeastern Connecticut forced the postponement of the Eve of Destruction at the Thompson International Speedway. The storms brought heavy downpours and severe lightning causing speedway management to postpone the event until Monday, Memorial Day.
The Family Fun Night, known as the Eve of Destruction, features car and school bus demolition derbies, world famous dare devils, a jet spectacular, trailer trash race, fireworks and much more.
Gates will open at 1:30 PM with a midway filled with inflatable attractions for youngsters and the Eve of Destruction program will begin at 6 PM.
