Weather Forces “TNTT” Cancellation at Thompson
Thompson, CT — A persistent drizzle and the forecast of heavier showers caused the management of the Thompson International Speedway to cancel the Thursday Night Thompson Thunder race program for Thursday, May 28th. Track management chose to make the call early so that race teams and fans could make changes in their plans for the day.
The track was to play host to residents of Thompson as a way of saying thank you to its friends and neighbors. The opportunity for Thompson residents to be guests of the track will now be held next week, June 4th.
The June 4th schedule is for six exciting NASCAR Whelen All American Series divisions to be in competition. Thompson’s “Super Six” will compete in qualifying races and feature races beginning with the qualifying races slated to start at 5:15 PM.
For the most recent information on events at Thompson Speedway, racers and fans are urged to visit the track’s web site. www.thompsonspeedway.com.
