Record Purse of Over Seven Million Dollars Posted by New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Loudon, NH — Featuring one of the most lucrative payouts-per-mile in NASCAR racing, record purses totaling more than $7 million are up for grabs for NASCAR drivers competing in next weekend’s LENOX Industrial Tools 301 events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Drivers racing in any of the week’s four NASCAR series races will be chasing their share of $7,005,549 in prize money, the highest in New Hampshire Motor Speedway history. The NASCAR Sprint Cup purse is $5,423,189, up from last year’s track record.
“The money is big, and the anticipation is great as NASCAR racing returns to New Hampshire Motor Speedway,” said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. “We’re proud to host four of NASCAR’s major divisions and offer one of the most lucrative purses in racing.”
The LENOX Industrial Tools 301 features the sixth-highest purse per-mile on the series schedule to date. Drivers will compete for that distinction when the green flag drops at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28.
The NASCAR Nationwide Series will be racing for the $1,197,559 designated to the Camping World RV Sales 200 presented by Turtle Wax on Saturday, June 27, at 3:00 p.m.
Race weekend kicks off Friday, June 26, with the NASCAR Camping World Series East battling for a share of $217,884 in the Heluva Good! Summer 125. The remaining $166,917 is on the line in the New England 100, when the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour goes green Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
Tickets for all the weekend’s races are on sale now. The new MegaTicket package features three days of racing for $99. The LENOX Speed Zone seating section offers fans a $39 Sunday ticket. With these promotions, fans have the unique opportunity to experience NASCAR racing for approximately 13 cents a lap!
