LENOX Industrial Tools Honoring 10 EXTRA-MILE HEROES Finalists at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Loudon, NH — As much as $1 Million could be on the line when the 10 finalists of the LENOX Industrial Tools EXTRA-MILE HEROES Contest visit New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, June 28.
As a part of their prize packages, the 10 finalists will be attending the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series LENOX Industrial Tools 301 race. Each of the 10 finalists will also receive $3,100, and an additional $3,100 to the charity of their choice. The grand prize winner is guaranteed $31,000, and an additional $31,000 to his charity.
However, if the No. 31 LENOX Industrial Tools Chevrolet of Jeff Burton wins Sunday’s race, the grand prize will grow to $1,000,000, to be split equally between the winner and their charity.
“It’s been a neat program,” said Jeff Burton. “All of the entries that have come in have just been phenomenal stories.”
The 10 finalists are: Johnny McCarty of Dublin, Texas; Tim Kurth of Hawarden, Iowa; Roy Engstrom of Elgin, Ill.; Rick Schar of Elgin, Ill.; Brian Verdugo of Burbank, Calif.; Jason Zuelke of Green Bay, Wis.; Salvatore Anselona of Howard Beach, N.Y.; Jim Murphy of New York, N.Y.; Pete Dingeman of Shelby Township, Mich.; and Greg Blackman of Hoover, Ala.
“There’s a huge range of ways that people have helped other people,” said Burton. “It’s going to be fun having them here. It’s going to be special.”
The respective charities in partnership include: the Dublin Pettit Baptist Church; the Calliope Village Fund; the Lions Club; USA Cares; YFC International; Victory In Life Community Development; St. Jude Children’s Hospital; the Nibwaakaawin Foundation; Children’s Tumor Foundation; and the Big Oak Ranch.
The extra mile at the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 was added to recognize LENOX EXTRA-MILE HEROES, users and distributors of industrial tools who go the EXTRA-MILE in their community. EXTRA-MILE HEROES were nominated by friends and coworkers at local LENOX Industrial Tools distributor locations. The 10 finalists were determined by a panel of judges, with the final winner selected by online voters.
Tickets for the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 are on sale now. The new MegaTicket package features three days of racing for $99. The LENOX Speed Zone seating section offers fans a $39 Sunday ticket. With these promotions, fans have the unique opportunity to experience NASCAR racing for approximately 13 cents a lap!
