July to be a busy month at The Action Track of the East

Seekonk, MA — The month of July will be a busy month at Seekonk Speedway. It starts off on July 4, as we take a step back in time. The cars of yesteryear will adorn the speedway for the first time on 2009. Bernie’s presents the New England Antique Racers, Senior Tour Auto Racers and the Atlantic Coast Old Timers will put on a display and remind us of how the racing was in years past. The ARC Pro Stocks, Late Models, Seekonk Sport Trucks and Street Stocks will also be a part of the action.

On Sunday, July 5th, Valvoline presents our annual Independence Day Celebration. With Spectator Drags, the Pure Stocks, Enduro car and truck drags, Enduro racing. Car & Truck Figure 8s, one of the most spectacular Fireworks display this side of the Pacific, and our world famous Demolition Derby.

On Saturday, July 11, Everett’s Auto Parts will present the third annual Motorcycle Parade. Along with our annual Monster Golf Kids’ Tryke race, the ARC Pro Stocks, Late Models, Seekonk Sport Trucks and Street Stocks, it will be another full night of action.

On Wednesday, July 15th, the 5th Annual Open Wheel Wednesday will take place, featuring the $10,000 to win Modified Madness. A 100 green flag lap modified event, open to competitors of the True Value Modified Racing Series, Whelen Modified Tour, Race of Champions Modified tour, and competitors from tracks that have a modified division competing weekly. In the four years of competition, Donnie Lia, Kirk Alexander, Vinny Annarummo and Matt Hirschman have all taken home the ten grand. The NEMA Midgets will compete on this night, as will the Pro4 Modifieds for this open wheel extravaganza.

On Saturday, July 18, the ARC competitors will race for the Mid Season Championship. The ARC Pro Stocks, Late Models, Seekonk Sport Trucks and Street Stocks will be in action.

On Saturday, July 25, Seekonk Speedway will host our annual Scout night. This allows all scouts to come to the speedway and enjoy the action. We ask that the scouts do wear their uniforms for recognition. The night will also be our annual Fans on Parade. This gets the fans out of their seats and a chance to show everyone who their favorite driver is. Wearing their drivers’ colors, signs, posters, costumes and more make this one of the most enjoyable nights for the fans and officials. The ARC Pro Stocks, Late Models, Seekonk Sport Trucks and Street Stocks will also be part of the program.

In addition to this, the Fast Friday series returns on July 10th with the NEMA Lites part of the program. The Pure Stocks, Seekonk Youth Racing Association and the Sport4’s will be in action on the 1/3 mile. There is also Kart racing in the pit area for more action.

Pricing on all of the Saturday Night events are just $12.00 for adults, with kids 12 and under FREE. Fast Friday admission is $5.00 adult admission. The Valvoline Independence Day Celebration and the Open Wheel Wednesday adult admission is $20.00. For more information, check out the all new Seekonk Speedway website at seekonkspeedway.com.
