Seekonk Speedway’s 5th Annual Open Wheel Wednesday with Modified Madness this Wednesday

Seekonk, MA — The entries continue to come in for the 5th Annual Open Wheel Wednesday Modified Madness, being held on July 15th. Over 19 entries have been received, including Mike Stefanik, and Kirk Alexander, Matt Hirschman, and Chris Pasteryak. Additional entries that have just been received are Richard Savary, Vinnie and Todd Annarummo, Eric Beers, Jeff Malave, Les Hinckley, Tim Arre, Ryan Preece, Ken Spencer and Jimmy Blewett.

Internet message boards have been abuzz over the 5th Annual event, which is becoming one of the biggest modified events of the racing season in the Northeast. Additional names being mentioned are defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Series Champion Ted Christopher, who finished second in the inaugural event behind Donny Lia, and Chuck Hossfeld, who has continued to run well hear.

In addition to the Modifieds, which run under an open competition-style rules package, the NEMA Midgets will make their first appearance of the season at the Action Track of the East with a 25 lap main event. Jeff Abold is the defending winner of this event for NEMA.

The Pro4 Modifieds will also be in action to round out the open wheel card. They will compete for the third time on Open Wheel Wednesday. Cory Cleary was the winner in 2007, the last time the Pro Fours were part of the card.

The gates open at 5pm, with the first green flag unfurling promptly at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased off our website, or at the main gate. Adult admission is only $20.00 per person. For further information, check out the all new Seekonk Speedway website at seekonkspeedway.com.
