Weather Forces Postponement of Bud 150 at Thompson
Thompson, CT — A persistent drizzle and a forecast for continued showers forced Thompson Speedway and NASCAR officials to postpone the running of the New England Dodge Dealer’s presentation of the Bud 150. The new date will be Thursday, September 3rd.
“It was a difficult decision to make, but conditions forced us to postpone this very popular event,” said track owner Don Hoenig. “The program on this new date, September 3rd, will be exactly the same as the program we had lined up for today”, he concluded.
The Bud 150 features the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and Thompson’s NASCAR Whelen All American Series “Super 6” divisions. This annual race, presented by the New England Dodge Dealers, is a fan favorite and its new date will provide a great kick off for the Labor Day holiday weekend.
The complete schedule for the postponed race event may be found on the Thompson web site, www.thompsonspeedway.com.
