Powder Puff Race at Seekonk Speedway Aug 29th
The first annual Pro Four Modified Powder Puff Race was such a rousing success that there is going to be another one. In a joint release, Four Cylinder Nationals Promoter and Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment owner, Gary Sagar, announced along with the management of Seekonk Speedway, a second puff race slated for Saturday night, August 29, 2009. The 20-lap shootout will once again showcase the female friends, fans, and family members of Pro Four drivers in an effort to raise funds to fight breast cancer.
Deb Lausier won the first Powder Puff Race this season at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, besting the eight car field. Running in the third position for most of the race, Lausier made her move on a late race restart and wrestled the top spot away from Toni Wright as the white flag was in the air. Sam Diamond finished second with Wright in third and Sally Gherardi and Heather Olson rounding out the top five.
