Stafford Speedway Lowers Age Requirements for its Whelen All-American Series Charger Divisions for 2010

Stafford Springs, CT — With NASCAR’s recent announcement regarding the implementation of a learner’s permit program lowering the minimum age requirement for its Whelen All-American Series Charger divisions from 16 to 14, Stafford Motor Speedway has set forth age requirements for its four Charger divisions for the 2010 season.

The age requirement for the Late Model division will be 16, the age requirement for SK Lights and Limited Late Models will be 15, and the age requirement for the DARE Stock division will be 14. The minimum age requirement for all crew members in the paddock area will be 14.

The goal of the new initiative is to provide an opportunity for up-and-coming drivers to participate in a track’s NASCAR program and gain experience in lesser-powered race cars. All rights and benefits of a Charger license, including the NASCAR Participant Accident Insurance Coverage, will be extended to the Learner’s Permit License.
