Car No. 9 NCWSE Team Penalized for Rules VIolations at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Daytona Beach, FL — NASCAR announced today the car No. 9 team that competes in the NASCAR Camping World Series East has been penalized as a results of rules violations committed Thursday, Sept. 17 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H.
The team was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-I (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used do not conform to NASCAR rules); and 20C-4.1B(2) (unapproved exhaust header and collector modification: must remain as supplied by NASCAR-approved vendor) of the 2009 NASCAR Touring rule book. The violations occurred during opening day inspection on Sept. 17.
Robert Harrison, crew chief of car No. 9, has been fined $1,000, suspended for the next NASCAR Camping World Series East event, suspended from NASCAR until Sept. 30, suspended from NASCAR until fine is paid, and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.
