Scully, Pasteryak, Vanasse, Martin, Cabral and Rioux set to defend DAV Fall Classic wins

Seekonk, MA — On Columbus Day weekend in 2008, Tom Scully Jr picked up his biggest win, dominating the 100 lap Pro Stock half of the Modified / Pro Stock twin bill. Leading most of the race, he pocketed the $3,000 winners share, and a bucket full of lap money on top to give him his highest payday to date. Tom went on to win the first PASS 150 at Seekonk this past August, and finished third in the final points chase.

In the True Value Modified half, Chris Pasteryak finally broke through for his first win at Seekonk Speedway, and went on to pick up the True Value Modified Championship. After finished in the runner up position on many occasions, it was a big sigh of relief for the CT native. His winning ways at The Cement Palace continued this past July, as Chris picked up one of the summers biggest modified opens, along with $10,000 at the 5th Annual Open Wheel Wednesday.

Ryan Vanasse picked up his first ever DAV Fall Classic win in the Late Models, The win in the 50 LM open started Vanasse on a roll, as he started off 2009 in Victory Lane and went on to pick up the LM Title in dominating fashion. With the 2009 LM title in hand, Ryan represented Seekonk Speedway at NHMS in an ACT Invitational, finishing tenth in the final rundown.

Randy Cabral dominated the 2008 NEMA Midget schedule, and added his second DAV Fall Classic to his resume. Randy also went on to win the NEMA portion of the Open Wheel Wednesday.

Rick Martin finished the 2008 season with three consecutive victories in the Seekonk Sport Trucks, and put his name at the top of the all-time DAV winners, with 5. He also went on to win a division record 10 wins in 2009, finishing just 3 points out of the title hunt.

Chris Rioux was the winner in the Street Stock 30 lap open competition event, his second career in the Street Stocks. In 2009, Chris finished eighth in the ever competitive Street Stock ranks, and visited Victory Lane once.
